Below are a few examples from the recent European quadball Cup in London. quadball is a mixed-gender full-contact sport based on the concept of quidditch. Shot’s On was hired to provide a full tournament livestream and incidental photography. We had to move fast and anticipate contact to capture some stunning action shots and move around the venue to photograph elements to capture the feeling of the venue and event.
Shot’s On often attends tag rugby events as a sports photographer. Not only do we love watching the matches and getting embroiled in the friendly atmosphere but have found taking photos at the events has given us hours of fantastic practice in capturing the right image.
Ludo sports is a new lightsabre combat sport that we’ve had the pleasure of attending several Manchester tournaments to act as photographers as well as running their live streams. Moving inside a sports hall, rather than being out on a pitch as we are used to, really taught us a lot about low light photography while keeping the images shark for the fast-moving action of the sport.
