The Shot’s On Quadball League 2025/2026

It’s Time To Play Some Quadball!

Welcome to the Shot’s On Quadball League — a free, fun, unofficial league
designed to get more training happening, create friendly competition, and open the sport to new players.
Form sets, play matches, chase prizes, and grow the community.

What

The Shot’s On Quadball League — a free, fun, unofficial league encouraging
more training, friendly competition, and community growth. Play, win prizes, and connect with new players.

There are two ways to win! You can be the League Champion, or the Style Champion. We want to keep the competition alive and active for every team across the board.

Where

Across the UK. Teams host each other at their home venues: 4G/3G pitches or suitable grass fields (flat, pitch-sized).
Astroturf/hard courts are not permitted.

When

Season 1: 30 Sept 2025 – 28 Feb 2026

Season 2: 1 Mar – 1 Jun 2026

Why

Make it easy to play more games, develop players, meet new teams, and keep the competition alive until the final whistle. Some teams struggle to get numbers for full trainings, some teams struggle to get to go to QUK official events, we hope this helps keep teams and players active inbetween tournmants.

Format at a Glance

  • Play in sets (3 games) vs any league team, any time during the season.
  • Teams may play as many sets as they like.
  • Qualification: minimum 2 sets (6 games).
  • The League table counts your best 9 games, with at most 3 games vs the same opponent among those nine.
  • The Style table counts bonuses and penalties awarded.

Rulebook & Resources

We follow the current IQA rulebook with QUK amendments, plus a few league tweaks for safety and inclusivity.

Shot’s On may amend the format/points if technical issues arise; no changes within 4 weeks of the season end dates.

Scoring & Rankings

Two titles keep the league competitive: a League Winner (results) and a Style Winner (results + variety/fair play). Live standings mean upsets matter to the end.

League Points (per game)

Action Points Notes
Win +6
Flag catch (any result) +4
Win by ≥40 +2 Single margin step to prevent point-farming
Close loss ≤30 +1 Stacks with a losing catch
Forfeit (awarded) 10 Win + catch; no margin/close-loss

League Winner = total League Points from your best 9 games (max three vs the same opponent).

Style (bonuses & penalties)

Category Points Notes
Unique opponents in counted 9 +1 each For variety; forfeited games don’t count here
Upset: beat team 1 place above +2 Based on live table at kickoff; cap: top 3 upsets total
Upset: beat team 2 places above +3
Upset: beat team 3+ places above +4
Per-set roster: 3-Max (≤3 same gender on pitch) +1 Declare pre-set and be fully compliant
Per-set roster: 4-Max (≤4 same gender on pitch) −1 Declare pre-set and be fully compliant
Gender-rule breach −4 No extra −1 Blue for same incident
Yellow / Blue (non-gender) / Red −1 / −1 / −4

Style Winner = League Points + Bonuses − Penalties.

Tie-breakers (League)

  1. Head-to-head League Points among tied teams (within counted games)
  2. Strength of schedule: average opponent position across your counted 9
  3. Fewest penalty points
  4. Most unique opponents in your counted 9
  5. Coin toss
